Super Scribblenauts

Postby GigaMetroid99 » Fri Jun 11, 2010 8:30 am

5th Cell is currently developing a sequel to Scribblenauts, called Super Scribblenauts. 5th Cell has stated that the controls and game physics would be improved for the sequel, and that there would be a new element to writing in object: adjectives. For example, instead of just creating a refrigerator, you could make a spiked refrigerator. They've also said there would be better level editing. It's supposed to come out this fall.

So what do you think? Is it worth it to buy? I don't know if it would be a good idea to buy it if you already have the original game, I'll have to see more of the game, but considering my original Scribblenauts game broke, I'd definitely buy it.

I loved the first one and the idea of adjectives make it so much better. I can imagine flaming ball.
I've got a secret.
It's on the tip of my tongue,
it's on the back of my lungs.
And I'm gonna keep it.
I know something you don't know.

I'm cautiously pessimistic about this one. I want to like it, but the first Scribblenauts was kind of a disappointment to me.

I was disappointed with the first one, so I'll wait to see how it turns out and how actual people (not the paid review sites) rate it.

I didn't get the first one, plus you control with the D-pad on this one. So I'll get it... if the reviews say it's better than the first one.

I got stuck a lot on the first Scribblenauts. The concept is great and I'm gonna go look up a guide on GameFAQs since I'm getting completionist ideas, but maybe that's just my lack of creativity. However, you were limited to three objects to travel in the air for crying out loud. Yay, hyperbole, but really. I'll have to think carefully about this sequel. Seems promising, especially with level editing, but I'm leaning away from it...

Also, Pterodactyl + Rope.

Yes this deserved it's own post.
